• Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2050-$2100
• Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults
• Unit Beds: 13
• Daily Census: 10
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Orientation: 36 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (high-risk obstetrics preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio state RN license required)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
• C-EFM or AWHONN Advanced (NCC C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN Advanced)
• EPIC charting experience required
• IV start and Labor & Delivery clinical skills required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns, including high-risk obstetric cases
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and high-risk interventions
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring equipment
• Administer medications (e.g., Pitocin, magnesium sulfate) and manage IVs and central lines
• Support breastfeeding and provide lactation education to new mothers
• Conduct antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum assessments and interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social services
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other nursing units as required to meet patient care needs
• Participate in patient triage, emergency response, and rapid response situations
