The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for a On-Call/Temporary Retail Associate at Duncan Student Center in our Campus Dining department. The UOES division oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while also supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.

Temporary Retail Associate - $17.50/hr
The Temporary Retail Associate will be cross-trained and will be working in Duncan Student Center at Modern Market, Hagerty Café, and Chick-Fil-A. This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service for our guests while ensuring a clean, fast and friendly multi-unit environment.
Key Responsibilities (Modern Market and Hagerty Café) Assist guests and exceed expectations while working at a fast-paced dining establishment Assist with preparation of food as needed Stock and rotation of food inventories Operate order and point of sale equipment
Key Responsibilities (Chick-Fil-A) Accurately follow the daily production lists per Chick-Fil-A brand training Prepare food Stock and load vans for deliveries Prep upcoming orders/work in a high volume quick service location Wash dishes, and maintain eating areas within unit Perform all tasks relating to retail, safety and sanitation of food service facilities The University of Notre Dame is proud to be ranked #1 on the Forbes Best Large Employer list , a recognition that reflects our commitment to creating a workplace where you’ll feel welcomed, supported, and truly valued as part of our beloved community.
Qualifications
Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision Positive, respectful, excellent communication and listening skills Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time) Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products
