Student Administrative Assistant

The Family Support Center, a nonprofit serving vulnerable families in crisis within our Salt Lake, Tooele, and Summit communities, is looking for a dedicated Student Administrative Assistant to assist with communication, social media, and other clerical duties in our busy community service nonprofit. The ideal candidate will be responsible and have strong organizational, time management, and basic Microsoft Office skills. This is a part-time work-study position with future opportunities available to the right candidates.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

Experience:

  • Basic Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Email Management

Duties:

  • Assist with communications, i.e., email management, donor and volunteer appreciation.
  • Contribute to social media campaigns.
  • Perform clerical duties such as printing flyers, creating documents, and preparing reports.
  • Answer and direct calls to appropriate parties
  • Assist and support managers with assigned projects and tasks
  • Assist in employee hiring (e.g., calling references, scheduling interviews)
  • Support staff in licensing audits/auditing client files
  • Run errands as needed
  • Assist with meeting agendas and assignments
  • Assist in documenting donations and In-kind
  • Assist with other program needs
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required by the job
  • (Not a management position)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Student in a work-study financial aid program at one of the local colleges
  • Ability to pass a state and federal background/fingerprinting check
  • Proficiency in Microsoft/Adobe Office products
  • Eligible to work in the US
