The Student Account Coordinator serves as a key member of the Student Financial Services team, providing front-line support to students and families regarding billing, payments, and account inquiries. This role is responsible for processing transactions, assisting walk-in visitors, responding to emails and phone calls, and ensuring accurate and timely entry of charges and payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-service driven, and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Submit and process student charges, adjustments, and credits. Provide in-person support for walk-in students and families with account questions, payment processing, and general assistance. Manage and respond promptly to emails and phone calls related to student accounts, ensuring clear communication and professional service. Enter, post, and reconcile student payments in accordance with institutional policies. Maintain accurate and confidential financial records for students. Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve account discrepancies, support student success, and improve processes. Assist with special projects, reporting, and account audits as assigned. Contribute to a positive team culture by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and promoting efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Prior experience in customer service, cash handling, or account management is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with student information or financial systems are a plus. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. This position is student- and customer-facing, requiring regular interaction with walk-in visitors, phone inquiries, and email correspondence. The role may require occasional extended hours during peak billing or registration periods.
