Venture and Business Development, Student

The Venture and Business Development, Student supports the Skysong Innovations (SI) team in advancing university startups and entrepreneurial initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting with the annual Startup Challenge, conducting market research on venture funds, accelerators, and studios, and serving as a liaison to the Skysong Innovations Startup Mill. The student will help build relationships with local, national, and international venture and industry partners, and coordinate meetings with faculty and startups.

This position provides valuable exposure to entrepreneurship, venture funding, business strategy, and intellectual property management while allowing the student to develop professional skills and build networks that will support their career growth.

This is an in-person position requiring availability Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday's.

What you'll do:

Venture Development Assist in coordination of the annual Skysong Innovations Startup Challenge Market research related to venture funds, venture studios and other investment related firms Liaison to the Skysong Innovations Startup Mill Build relationships with local, regional, national and internation venture community Build relationships with venture studios and accelerators for ASU startup company and researchers Coordinate and participate in meetings with faculty researchers and ASU startups

Business Development Proactively help collect data for data and help manage marketing-related database and activities Develop, build, and manage relationships with potential industry partners Make connections between ASU startups and technology and industry and venture community Other duties and special projects as assigned

Other Duties Assist SI legal and/or licensing teams with assigned projects in the fields of business law and licensing

Student must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement.
