QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Valid NYS teaching certificate in Students with Disabilities - Birth-2

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: Experience teaching students with a wide variety of special needs in a K-2 self-contained classroom. Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff, students, related service providers, support staff and administration. Desire and ability to work collaboratively with direct and indirect academic teams. Knowledge and experience writing Individualized Education Programs (IEP's), developing and tracking student goals, and delivering specially designed academic instruction. Evidence of strong classroom management with an emphasis on student engagement within the classroom; ability to provide behavior intervention supports and data collection when needed. Commitment to ongoing team development, curriculum and professional development and instructional technology.
