Lake water quality technician to assist Dr. Hal Halvorson with field and laboratory research.

Dr. Halvorson ( www.halvorhalvorson.com ) is recruiting a paid undergraduate research technician starting December 2025 through the spring 2026 semester in his research laboratory in the Biology Department at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA). The successful applicant will assist with ongoing research on water quality in the Conway drinking water reservoir, Brewer Lake. The successful applicant will assist with both field and laboratory research. The successful applicant will have the opportunity for renewal of the position in Summer 2026 and afterward, pending interest and satisfactory performance. Job Duties and Responsibilities Assist with field and laboratory research directed by UCA Biology graduate students and Dr. Halvorson. Assist with laboratory preparation and analysis of water samples. Dr. Halvorson will explain in further detail during the interview process.
