Work Schedule: 5-20 hrs per week typically Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm and occasional Weekends

Pay Rate: $10.50-$11.50 per hour
Key Components:
This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only. Assist volunteer director in administering extensive volunteer program. Attend and engage in recruitment activities and tabling events, assist with orientation for new volunteers, maintain volunteer database and updating volunteer profiles, generate reports, and other admin/office duties. Provide support to volunteers throughout Mission Waco program as needed. Attend Mission Waco programs throughout semester to connect with Mission Waco volunteers. Assist with preparing for special events like volunteer appreciation. Assist with creating content including flyers, handouts, media, etc.
In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners.
Computer related work involving data entry using a software program CERVIS, our volunteer database.
Corresponding through email, phone, text, and face-to-face with volunteers and Mission Waco staff.
Required Skills:
General office skills such as computer data entry (Excel, Word).
Answering phone.
Detail oriented.
Basic knowledge of office equipment.
Good written and oral communication with others.
Soft Skills:
Work well with office staff and volunteer applicants.
A team player with good communication and problem solving skills.
Interest in the mission and goals of the non-profit to empower, engage and equip our participants, volunteers and staff.
Learning Outcomes: Build communication skills through public speaking in small group settings and recruiting events. Computer data-entry skills. Learning how to communicate and coordinate within a non-profit staff to ensure timely information flow and completing assigned tasks.
