Requirements to drive with Via include: Valid driver’s license

Age 25 or older

Completion of a drug screening

Minimum of 5 years of unrestricted driving experience in the US

At least 5 years of experience as a parent or professional caregiver

Personal auto insurance coverage

Satisfactory results from a fingerprint-based background check and driving record check (Social Security Number needed)

Successful vehicle inspection

All additional requirements for service will be communicated to potential Driver Partners as necessary. *To qualify for the new driver partner promotion, you must complete a minimum of 10 hours of driving on the Via platform within 30 days of (i) finishing your driver onboarding session or (ii) September 2, 2025, whichever date comes later. Note that time offline, including breaks, is not counted towards the 10-hour requirement. This promotion is subject to change or revocation at Via's discretion.
