At The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) we take pride in and highly value our student employees. We are seeking a Technical Writer Assistant to assist the Program Documentation technical writing team. This person will gain practical experience in developing a variety of deliverable documentation. This position is part-time and is located onsite in North Logan, UT.

Key Responsibilities:
- Researching, writing, formatting, and editing documents including reports and presentations
- Providing general administrative support
- Supporting the development of test plans, procedures, and reports
- Attending meetings to capture action items and minutes
- Supporting full-time Technical Writers with approved assignments
- Supporting the Marketing team and Proposals, as needed
- Must be a current student at Utah State University (USU)
- Must have a minimum of 1 year remaining in school
- Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US person
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to be proactive and work effectively with little direct supervision
- Ability to work productively alone and in a team
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow up and close the loop
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, and assess, understand, and document technical and engineering concepts
- Ability to assess deadlines, set individual priorities, and maintain flexibility when priorities shift, sometimes unexpectedly
- Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summer
- Currently pursuing a degree in Technical Writing or a related field
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
