Position Details Location: Downtown Columbia, SC campus Department: IT Enterprise Applications, Division of Information Technology Job Family: Information Technology Job Function: IT Business Systems Analysis Level: P3 - Professional Full Time Hours per Week: 37.5 Responsibilities Provide expert application support and consulting services to campus stakeholders. Lead incident triage, problem resolution, and offer best practice solutions. Design, test, and implement complex projects including system upgrades and application modifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop standards for incident, testing, security, and change management. Assist in prioritizing and planning future initiatives with management and institutional partners. Provide Banner SIS production incident triage/resolution as well as problem analysis/resolution support (tier 2) for assigned modules. Lead and participate in continual process improvement of standards/processes for production support, incident management, problem management, change management, testing, and upgrades. Serve as lead subject matter expert for assigned Banner modules and assist student functional stakeholders, project team members, and technical teams with functional and technical content, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements Job Related Minimum Education and Experience: Requires a bachelors degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Preferred Qualifications: At least 5 years experience serving as a business analyst supporting the Ellucian Student Information System, Banner 9.x, for Admissions, Financial Aid, Student, or Student Accounts Receivable in a higher education institution. Previous experience with Banner Workflow, Ellucian Degree Works, Atomic/UC4 job scheduling, and ServiceNow are preferred. Ability to create SQL queries is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Deep knowledge of Student Information System functionality (Admissions, Financial Aid, Student, Student Accounts Receivable or related areas). Ability to conduct complex technical analysis, document requirements, and communicate clearly. Ability to work with users, partners, vendors, IT staff and management. Strong project management and documentation skills. Familiarity with IT best practices and standard operating procedures for program management.
Essential Functions and Time Allocation Essential Function: Yes Percentage Of Time: 35 Job Duty: Collaborate with analysts to define, analyze, develop, test, and implement system improvements and functionality in accordance with change control and release management processes. Prepare functional specifications, test plans, and user communications. Lead complex SIS projects. Percentage Of Time: 30 Job Duty: Lead as the lead subject matter expert for Banner modules and assist stakeholders, project teams, and technical staff. Percentage Of Time: 15 Job Duty: Participate in continual process improvement of standards/processes for production support, incident management, change management, testing, and upgrades. Percentage Of Time: 10 Job Duty: Serve as a contact for vendor partnerships, facilitate meetings, and evaluate proposals. Support knowledge transfer and vendor training. Percentage Of Time: 10
