Overview Student Support Teacher - Immediate Opening - (Brooke Mattapan) Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools, serving grades K-12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. Responsibilities Teach daily support classes for students with special needs Develop individualized curriculum to ensure that student learning goals are clear and measurable Coordinate standardized test accommodations and/or MCAS alt. for a small group of students Confer and collaborate with teachers to ensure that accommodations are met in inclusive settings Qualifications You are committed to fostering diversity by cultivating anti-racist practices and removing bias, empowering students with the resources they need to create choice filled lives for themselves and their futures. You’ve earned a Bachelor’s degree You have a working knowledge of federal and state special education laws You know the importance of building a joyful classroom culture where students are held to high behavioral and academic expectations You are professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds.
