The Department of Languages and Cultures at Utah Valley University is seeking a Spanish/English Proofreader, Editor, and Typesetter for a Spanish interpreting project.

Summary of Responsibilities

Proofreading Spanish-English interpreting practice scripts (scenarios will be in medical, legal, and educational settings). Editing Spanish-language lines in scripts so that they reflect the way normal people speak. Creating professional-looking documents from scripts using a standardized template. Collaborating with an audio engineer to edit/check scripts to match the recorded audio. Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications Must be a current UVU student Absolutely must be a native speaker of Spanish. Proficient in the rules of Spanish orthography Near-native proficiency in written English. Proficient in Microsoft Word.
