The OCR Street Team will work directly with peers, faculty/staff and employers to promote and further the mission of the Career & Talent Development Department. The OCR Street Team will serve as a vital link between the employers, FIU student body and the Career & Talent Development Department by educating, promoting and marketing to students about the employer opportunities, events and any professional development activities related to the Career & Talent Development Department. Primary Responsibilities Increase student awareness on employer info sessions, tabling and any on campus recruitment activities put on by Career & Talent Development Promote events to peers via social media and newsletter creation Work with employers for Instagram Takeovers Assist with Career Development events (Workshops, On-Campus Recruiting, Career Fairs, Professional Development Dinner, etc.) and other special projects Promote Career & Talent Development events through outreach to student organizations, information tables, etc. Propose ideas to increase student awareness of Career & Talent Department Be an on campus representative for employers Minimum Qualifications Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days. Ability to work in a team setting. Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of PC operations and specialized software. Ability to take direction and work independently as needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information. Student Disclosure Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters. During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated. Upon decreasing credit hours or graduating, student employment must end. Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:30a-5:00p Advertised Salary $13.00 per hour Pre-Employment Requirements Criminal Background Check.
