Overview The Student Nurse Aide works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities of the Student Nurse include providing direct patient care standards. The Student Nurse must exhibit the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the RN/LPN, adhering to patient care standards. Demonstrate ability to work with patients from diverse backgrounds; organize, set priorities, and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment. Qualifications Education: High School/GED required. Completed a minimum of one year of clinical experience within an academic nursing program, and completed Fundamentals of Nursing and Pharmacology including medication administration; currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Nursing Program (Nursing graduates pending NCLEX eligibility). License/Certification: BLS required before the conclusion of orientation.
