STUDENT INTERN - ENERGY ANALYSIS (HDQ)

POSITION PURPOSE This position provides temporary, project-based assistance in the Energy Markets division at headquarters. The incumbent will gain exposure to Cooperative operations and practices while supporting teams with hands-on tasks and assignments appropriate to their field of study.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Design and develop reporting tools and analytical models to optimize workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making.
Gain Insight to Energy Trading & Risk Management systems, including Allegro, OATI, PCI.
Assist department staff with assigned tasks, projects, or data entry aligned with field of study.
Conduct research and analysis.
Attend and participate in team meetings or training opportunities.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, or logs.
Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Be at least 18 years of age.
Be enrolled as a full-time student four-year Computer Science, Data Science, Statistic, Economics, Finance, or related program with Sophomore year completed, or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
Hold a valid driver’s license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous internship or relevant work experience.
Additional certifications or coursework in field of study.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination.
