The job of Student Information System Coordinator is done for the purposes of managing the student record services using online programs and providing training, information, and advice to district users of the student records system under the general direction of the Director of Communications, Technology and Operations. Ensures reporting functions, data integrations, and roll out of new applications are done in a seamless and efficient manner. Management of other data systems is also required.
Essential Functions Coordinates student data entry, user rights management, and data management of the Qmlativ system, including new student enrollment and year end processes to ensure smooth functioning of the SIS. Compiles District monthly student enrollment and transmits monthly to OSPI. Assists school personnel in the input and management of student records in a computerized student information system (Qmlativ). Plans and trains district staff on a regular basis and creates documentation for end users. Manages data exchange between Qmlativ system and CEDARS system. Manages security of data for the EDS system (District Data Security Administrator). Manages the In-District and Out-of-District Boundary Application and supports families through this process. Assists families with Qmlativ Family Access and provides troubleshooting for Student Access accounts. Supports Finance Director with Qmlativ Fiscal users (e.g. Food Service, Fee Management). Support school staff with student record retention processes and manages Qmlativ record retention. Ensures confidentiality of district and student records. Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the District Office. Job Requirements - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Recent successful experience in use of Qmlativ student information system. Demonstrated ability to provide individual and group training. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people by communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, including clear, polite telephone communication skills. Demonstrated organizational skills and commitment to follow through on tasks with a minimum of supervision. Demonstrated ability to work under conditions of constant interruption and perform under deadline pressure. Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and implement new software workflows across the district, including working with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and goals. Demonstrated ability to analyze and apply new knowledge. Desired Qualifications Experience with the Washington Educational Data System (EDS) Experience working within the CEDARS system. Experience with Washington State OSPI student P-223 reporting.Experience as a school registrar. Advanced skills in using Microsoft Excel

Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 15% walking, and 5% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
