Job Description:
Addison Group is seeking a Student Employment Coordinator to join our client’s student support team. This is a contract role (4–6 months) with the potential to extend or become permanent. You’ll be the go-to administrative contact for student workers and campus managers, supporting hiring, payroll, and compliance efforts for on-campus employment programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to student and staff inquiries related to employment via email and phone in a professional and timely manner
- Manage student hiring paperwork and assist in onboarding both new hires and rehires
- Coordinate with internal departments (HR, payroll, student services, etc.) to troubleshoot employment issues
- Process payroll entries and ensure accurate documentation for student workers
- Draft and distribute employment communications and policy updates to stakeholders
- Monitor and enforce employment policy compliance in accordance with college, state, and federal guidelines
- Support federal work-study and off-campus employment programs, including communication with external partners
- Assist in internship program logistics and support career events as needed
- Handle employment verification requests and unemployment claims
- Maintain confidentiality while managing employment files and sensitive data
- Other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in HR, payroll, or student employment administration
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Familiarity with student employment and/or federal work-study policies preferred
- Experience using systems like PeopleSoft is highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Prior experience in higher education is a plus
