Job Summary The Student Development Program Assistant Director is an individual contributor responsible for supporting students’ educational and co-curricular development through engaging activities and events that foster belonging and community. The role collaborates with campus and community partners and assists department leadership with goal setting, program evaluation, and assessment. Responsibilities Plan, execute, and continuously refine co-curricular programs and events that enhance student belonging, engagement, and holistic development. Coordinate signature departmental initiatives and open-campus events, ensuring consistency, quality, and accessibility. Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including academic departments, alumni, community organizations, and civic agencies, to expand program reach and relevance. Integrate student success and outcomes data into program design, implementation, and assessment to support institutional goals. Conduct program evaluations and contribute to annual reporting and strategic goal-setting processes within the department. Facilitate workshops, seminars, and developmental opportunities focused on student leadership, social wellness, and intercultural competency. Assist in budget development and management, ensuring effective resource allocation and compliance with institutional procedures. Create and coordinate marketing and communication materials in partnership with university communications teams. Represent the department in work groups, campus initiatives, or meetings as needed. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Required Qualifications: Weekends and evenings may be required for special events (dinners, football games, etc.); some travel may be required. Required Experience Six or more years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Additional Preferred Qualities: Ability to coordinate activities among diverse groups and stakeholders; fluency in a second language may be preferred. Preferred Educational Qualifications: Master’s Degree. Skills Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Working knowledge of marketing and educational outreach program planning and design related to the target student population; strong attention to detail, organization, presentation, customer relations, and communications.
