Position Overview:
Innovate Bay seeks a creative, motivated, and well-connected student to serve as our Brand Ambassador focused on content marketing and digital promotion. This role is crucial for increasing the incubator's visibility among the student body, driving applications to our programs, and promoting the success stories of our startups. The Ambassador will gain hands-on experience in content strategy, digital campaigns, and community building within the dynamic startup ecosystem. This is a non-exempt, part-time, hybrid position, with a flexible schedule of 10-15 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Produce engaging, short-form content (photos, videos, stories, and graphics) for key social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) to promote incubator events and founder success stories. Digital Promotion: Actively promote program deadlines and events within relevant campus communities, student groups, and online forums to drive attendance and applications. Media Curation: Interview startup founders, team members, and alumni to generate "spotlight" content, testimonials, and blog post contributions. Tracking and Reporting: Assist with data collection and tracking of content performance (e.g., engagement rates, reach) to inform future marketing strategy. On-Campus Outreach: Serve as the primary liaison to student entrepreneurship clubs and organizations for cross-promotional activities and collaborations. Perform other marketing and outreach duties as assigned. Qualifications: Currently enrolled [Undergraduate or Graduate] student in good standing at San Francisco Bay University. Active and proficient user of major social media platforms, with a strong understanding of current content trends. Portfolio required: Demonstrated ability to create compelling digital content (links to social media accounts, personal work, or samples are a plus). Strong organizational, time-management, and project coordination skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to peers. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge of content marketing best practices, particularly for platforms popular with students (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels). Skill in using basic photo and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, mobile video editors) for content development. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, remote, or hybrid environment. Strong interest in entrepreneurship, startups, and innovation.
