Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the Cell Biology and Molecular Medicine Department within New Jersey Medical School.
Under direction, the Student Assistant will assist the Principal Investigator in performing research activities. Performs work requiring the application of standard techniques and procedures.
Among the key duties of the position are the following: Helps with ongoing lab activities and performs assays including western blotting, PCR, cell culture, etc.
Assists in operating lab equipment.
Prepares reagents, solutions /buffers, gels, etc.
Orders supplies and equipment.
Understands and adheres to Rutgers, compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Performs other related duties as assigned. FLSA Nonexempt Grade 99H Salary Details $16.00 per hour.
