Position Summary The Student Assistant will aid the Program Coordinator and Technical Director with the daily responsibilities of producing theatrical productions. These include, but are not limited to operating the Box Office, functioning as a House Manager and assisting with concessions, clerical and publicity duties. Education/Experience Currently enrolled Stevenson University student in good standing with the University academically and judicially. Knowledge/Skills/Ability Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Internet, and social media platforms
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work evenings, especially around the production dates
Detail oriented and highly organized, able to multi-task and work independently
Ability to work independently
Ability to follow and accept direction Physical Requirements Light work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Keyboarding, standing and/or sitting, walking, talking and hearing. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal. Essential Functions Function as Box Office staff and/or House Manager for theatre productions
Operate Concession sales
Enforce theatre policies
Oversee the opening and closing of the box office and theatre
Post to social media outlets including blogging
Assure a safe and pleasurable experience for theatre goers
Communicate with the production team
