The Student Assistant will support the Campus Recreation and Intramurals as an Intramural Volleyball Official on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2025. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

Officiates intramural contests and assists in the game management of designated intramural sports, including Flag Football, Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Volleyball, and other activities Assists with promotion and evaluation of intramural activities and CRI special events Helps program supervisors with the daily administration of intramural activities Completes setup and takedown of facilities and equipment Signs in intramural participants and verify eligibility Checks out equipment and monitors the facility/equipment for safety and risk management Ensures participation takes place in a safe manner Enforces intramural policies and procedures Diffuses potential issues involving spectators, coaches, or players Serves as a resource and service person for program participants Shift Specifics Up to 25 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary

$10.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
