Position Summary:
The Office of College and Community Connection (C3) seeks Pima Community College (PCC) student ambassadors to support the work of the office and assist with programs, events, and resource-sharing for students, faculty, staff, and the community. The office provides information, training, and engagement opportunities that strengthen connections across the College and with community partners.
Student ambassadors will assist with a variety of assignments based on office priorities and their own professional development and skill-building interests. This position provides opportunities to gain experience in areas such as event planning, communication, outreach, and teamwork while contributing to a nurturing, welcoming, and supportive campus environment.
The work schedule for this position may include working evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
C3 Office Support Assist with planning, promoting, and setting up College and community events Provide event support such as welcoming guests, helping with logistics, and distributing materials Help create and share information (flyers, presentations, resources) for students, staff, and community members Work with C3 staff and other College programs on projects that support student and community engagement Outreach and Student Support: Share information with students and the community about College resources and opportunities Assist in preparing and delivering workshops or presentations for different audiences Provide peer support by helping connect students to College and community services Support outreach activities, training sessions, and community events Help build connections with campus and community partners Pima ColLEGAL: Assist with preparing student packets, filing and making copies Assist with scheduling appointments (in-person or virtual) with students to review packets and assist with the selection of a Pima ColLEGAL attorney referral Assist students in preparing, reviewing, and verifying screening packets Compiling completed packets and sending necessary forms to the partner attorneys Working collaboratively with Pima ColLEGAL partners Working with other team members and student ambassadors Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Current/incoming PCC student with a minimum 2.5 GPA or at the discretion of the Program Manager or Paralegal Faculty Willingness to learn about different student experiences and how life situations can affect access to education Actively engage, listen, and have an open mind Some evening and weekend hours may be required Travel district-wide and to local sites (transportation should not be a barrier for the student hired into the position) Attend in-state training/workshops Able to work 10-19.50 hours per week in the Fall and Spring semester Preferred: Fluency and comfort communicating in English and another language Experience with workshop facilitation/presentation Community Service Experience Student Learning Outcomes:
