Job Title Student Aide - Welding

Reports To and Evaluated by Welding Instructor

Required Qualifications Current Morton College student carrying 6 credits hours in the Fall and Spring. One credit in the Summer. Must meet financial aid eligibility. Applicant must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of a 2.0. Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, equity, accountability, innovation, and excellence. Job Summary The Welding Classroom Student Aide provides support to the instructor and students in maintaining a safe, organized, and effective learning environment. This position assists with setup, cleanup, inventory, safety monitoring, and basic administrative or instructional tasks as assigned. Specific Job Duties Assist in setting up tools, equipment, and materials before class sessions. Maintain a clean and organized shop and classroom environment. Help monitor safety procedures and report unsafe practices or hazards to the instructor. Inventory supplies and alert the instructor when stock is low or equipment needs repair. Assist with basic maintenance of tools and machines (under supervision). Ensure all tools are returned and properly stored after use. Assist instructor with basic tasks

Salary Range $15.00 per hour
