Position Summary:

The Student Affairs Coordinator is a key member of the University's Student Affairs team, with primary responsibility for managing all Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefit processes and serving as the School Certifying Official (SCO) for the entire University. In addition, the coordinator provides clerical and administrative support to the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA), the Director of Financial Aid, or their designee.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate all VA education benefit processes and serve as the University’s School Certifying Official (SCO), ensuring timely and accurate certification of student enrollments
• Maintain compliance with government requirements, including managing electronic student files and coordinating with academic divisions in areas of responsibility
• Oversee Student Health Insurance processes, including online roster submission, verification of broker materials, and coordination with Financial Aid, Bursar, and insurance partners
• Proctor assessments and reassessments for ADA students; communicate with students to ensure approved accommodations are implemented appropriately
• Serve as the primary contact for inquiries received through the general insurance and veterans email accounts, providing timely, accurate responses
• Provide students with resources to non-academic counseling resources upon request
• Assists with Commencement related activities as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma is required; Associate's degree preferred
• Previous experience as a VA SCO strongly desired
