Strategic Advancement Student Associate The Strategic Advancement Student Associate supports the VP/COO Strategic Advancement team by contributing to process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for students interested in organizational strategy, operations, and documentation practices. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Strategic Advancement team and other stakeholders to document standard operating procedures and assist in streamlining internal processes across the VP/COO portfolio. Purpose This position plays a key role in supporting the VP/COO Strategic Advancement team by contributing to process improvement initiatives by ensuring that standard operating procedures are clearly documented and aligned with institutional standards. This position supports the development of a robust data infrastructure that enhances transparency, promotes standardization, and strengthens decision-making across the nine units within the VP/COO Portfolio. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Strategic Advancement team and other VP/COO units to observe and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) across departments Communicate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and comprehensive process documentation Create clear, user-friendly documentation including process maps, step-by-step guides, and workflow diagrams Ensure all documentation aligns with institutional standards Organize and manage documentation repositories to ensure easy access and version control Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on process improvement and knowledge management strategies Required Qualifications Work study eligibility Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at the university. Major: Business Administration or related fields Minimum GPA: 2.5+ Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving project needs and feedback Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Experience with documenting business processes, workflows, or SOPs Familiarity with process mapping tools such as Visio Interest in organizational strategy, operations, and process improvement Strong written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document processes and procedures Salary Range $15.00/hour + depending on qualifications Working Conditions Standard office work environment Work Shift Flexible hybrid schedule.
