Sterilization Techn Internship For University of Oklahoma Pre-Dental Club Students Only

This is a part time position with flexible start dates in the spring with potential for increased hours in the summer.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Sterilization Technician Intern, you will assist in the processing and sterilization of dental instruments, gaining valuable experience in infection control and clinical operations. Responsibilities include: Collecting used instruments and equipment for decontamination Manually cleaning supplies to remove contaminants Operating and maintaining sterilization and decontamination equipment Preparing and packaging instruments for sterilization Inspecting instruments to ensure proper sanitation Organizing and delivering instruments for procedures Monitoring and documenting sterilization procedures and equipment maintenance Assisting with inventory and supply management Supporting the clinical team with additional tasks as needed Eligibility & Requirements Must be a current member of the OU Pre-Dental Club Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Interest in infection control, sterilization techniques, and dental clinical operations Ability to work both independently and as part of a team No prior experience required - training will be provided
