Arts and Sciences | Academic Enrichment Responsible for two distinct functional areas: scholarship administration and student engagement. Establishes and administers college scholarship processes to support college priorities, promote efficiencies, encourage cross-college and cross-university coordination, and optimize effective use of funds. Provides advice and support to college unit administrators related to policies and processes. Manages all administrative processes and communication of college-level endowed and current-use funds targeting academic merit, financial need, emergency support, and global education for currently enrolled undergraduates. Administration includes establishing and maintaining application processes, overseeing data and document collection, facilitating committee selection and applicant review, finalizing selection of recipients and corresponding awards, student notification, and award transmission. Annually awards scholarships and grants from ~50 funds with balances totaling $800,000 - $1,000,000. Ensures awards are compliant with endowment descriptions, college priorities, federal and university requirements, and global education risk management policies. Generates data for college leadership detailing over 750 endowed and current-use student support funds totaling ~$7,600,000 to promote awarding of unused and/or underutilized funds, to identify resources, and to facilitate communication with units encouraging awarding of available funds in support of students. Develops relationships with college units and university stakeholders to communicate funding opportunities, share data, and advocate for student-centered policies. Provides leadership for developing and implementing undergraduate programs that support and enrich the undergraduate student experience. Provides guidance on best practices and collaborates with stakeholders across the college and the university. Advocates for students at both the college and university level in relation to development and implementation of policies.Provides oversite and mentorship for the Arts and Sciences Student Council. Supports organization initiatives and leadership development for the Executive Board and Council membership. Provides guidance on organization objectives, development of short- and long-term goals, faculty and staff engagement, professional development, college and community outreach and service, interpretation of university policies, leadership transitions, and budget management. Provides extensive support for the annual Ohio State Graduate and Professional School Fair attracting 500 student attendees, professional representatives from 30 OSU units, and partnerships with both FYESS and STEP programs. Provide guidance and promotion for the annual faculty and GTA teaching awards. Develops mechanisms for broad promotion of programs to students, staff, and faculty. Assesses program effectiveness. Liaison and support for the Dean’s Student Advisory Board. Leads college-wide annual call for applications, applicant review, and member selection in coordination with Board members, USG, CSG, and ASCSC. Coordinates with college and university partners to develop content designed to support the academic success and engagement of an academically and culturally diverse student population, as well as content appropriate for students at different levels of enrollment and stages of development. Develops and manages content of select Current Student web pages and webforms. Establishes contact lists to allow for market segmentation and tracks engagement to assess content. Develops and manages program budget. Interfaces with individuals and units across the college and university responding to a range of inquiries. College representative to the Senior Vice President of Student Life’s Advisory Group, college contact for Student Financial Aid initiatives, and college representative to a university-wide scholarship administrators’ group. Accesses SIS, OnCourse, TAS, Fundriver, SRSS, Tableau, and Constant Contact in support of responsibilities.
Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Six years of relevant experience. Administrative experience at the departmental or college level.
Desired: Master’s degree, preferably in the arts and sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
