Program Overview
Lake Charles Memorial Health System invites senior nursing students to apply for our RN Student Extern Program�a hands-on opportunity to gain clinical experience and prepare for a seamless transition into professional nursing.
Externs will:
Work under the supervision of experienced RNs and CNAs
Perform approved nursing skills after orientation and competency check-offs
Rotate monthly through various hospital departments to explore different specialties
Build relationships with staff and unit managers across the hospital
