Job Summary:
Provides routine treatment and care of patients with respiratory insufficiencies under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist.
Job Responsibilities: Delivers routine therapy per plan of care. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Educates the patient and family about the illness and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
Skills and Attributes: Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Education High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire
Licensure/Certification/Registration Respiratory - Student license through the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care (KBRC) required within 30 days of employment in this position AND BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
