Job Description Experience Required: 0 to 6 months. Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent; currently enrolled in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program. Certification or Licensing Required: Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License. Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds. Job Responsibilities Manage inventory levels effectively through online orders and assist in physical inventory preparations. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to meet company and regulatory standards. File written prescriptions daily to ensure an orderly workflow. Support team members with various tasks to enhance departmental efficiency. Analyze service and business metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Fulfill all duties of a Pharmacy Technician. Greet and assist patients warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Provide excellent patient care by addressing needs personally and via phone, guiding them to the right products, and directing medication inquiries to the pharmacist. Process sales transactions accurately using the cash register according to established procedures. Support the safe and efficient dispensing of medications and medical equipment by adhering to quality assurance policies. Comply with all company and pharmacy policies, including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine regulations. Accurately input patient and insurance information. Enter prescription details, including calculations and medication specifications. Ensure proper documentation for transmitting claims to insurance companies and check billing choices. Notify pharmacists of necessary drug utilization reviews, resolve third-party rejections, and facilitate the refilling process. Process medical expense reports as required.
