Responsibilities
Perform the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Under direct supervision, maintains proper narcotic documentation and ensures proper distribution of narcotic medications.
Under direct supervision, ensures appropriate selection of dosing, administering and monitoring of medication.
Dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas. May compound medications.
Assist pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles. Provides medication information and education to medical staff and patients.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Pharmacy Intern credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board preferred.
Education:
High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
