Job Summary
As the Medical Assistant, you will be at the core of our outpatient clinic, assisting our skilled physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and physical therapists in delivering exceptional patient care. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare offices through your strong administrative and organizational abilities.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Takes and records patients' blood pressure, temperature, pulse, height, weight and vision test and report abnormal patient conditions to the physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, nurse or physical therapist.
Responds to patient symptoms and complaints with first aid or consultation with nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physical therapist.
Prepares patients for specific minor surgery and treatment procedures which may include colposcopy, cryo surgery, IUD placement and endometrial biopsies and assists the provider as required during the procedure.
Prepares medical equipment, laboratory specimen collection materials and pharmaceuticals for patient office examinations.
Administers routine treatment procedures as ordered and supervised by physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists and nurses.
Performs general office duties as needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required 6 months of experience in health care
Licensed Medical Assistant with 2 years relevant experience
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Required Certified Medical Assistant Upon Date of Hire
SKILLS
Required Proficient communication skills
Maintains a high degree of professionalism
Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills
Demonstrates a high commitment to quality
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires sedentary work as well as extended durations of moving about the workplace. It requires the ability to move objects and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, and the ability to discern between various objects and devices and to position patients. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary
$19.48 - $20.93, depending on license status
Work Hours
Up to 29 hours per week
Monday - Friday, day shift. Times may vary.
Flexibility required for occasional Saturday shift.
