Nursing Student Internship As a nursing student intern, you will provide care to patients under the supervision of licensed nurses. Responsibilities: Data Collection: Collect and document patient data, including vital signs, height, weight, and intake/output. Care Coordination: Coordinate care activities to provide optimal care and services within assigned caseloads. Patient Care: Provide patient care and activities appropriate to age, cultural, and religious beliefs, and any barriers to understanding. Team Collaboration: Communicate with other team members, seek assistance, and share input from patients/families with relevant team members. Requirements: Nursing Education: Currently enrolled in an RN degree program with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Academic Status: Not on academic probation and in good standing with the current nursing program. Recommendation: Must provide a letter of recommendation from a nursing instructor. Essay Submission: Must submit a 500-word essay identifying why they chose the field of nursing and how they apply core values to their individual practice. Clinical Experience: Must have successfully completed both clinical rotations or similar experience.
