Location: Newark, DE Job Type: Part-Time
Job Summary
As a Leasing Consultant for our student housing community in Newark, DE, you will be the first point of contact for current and prospective residents. Your primary responsibility is to lease apartments, support resident satisfaction, and help meet occupancy goals. You will work closely with the property management team to foster a vibrant and engaging student living environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead and assist with leasing efforts, including pre-leasing and outreach. Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective residents. Follow up with leads and maintain ongoing communication (phone, email, in-person). Close leases and consistently meet or exceed leasing and occupancy goals. Assist with lease renewals, move-ins, and move-outs. Support marketing efforts including social media, events, and community outreach. Accurately complete leasing paperwork and maintain organized resident files. Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guarantors, and prospects. Resolve resident concerns in a timely and professional manner. Monitor resident account records and assist with delinquency management. Maintain leasing and resident records in compliance with company policies and Fair Housing laws. Conduct regular inspections of units and common areas, especially during turnover periods. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Professional demeanor, both in appearance and behavior. Experience in leasing, sales, or customer service preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Outgoing, energetic, and student-focused personality. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional evenings. Familiarity with student housing and university life preferred. Education High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience Experience in student housing or new lease-ups is a plus. Knowledge of Fair Housing laws. Familiarity with the University of Delaware and the Newark market is preferred. Physical Requirements Frequent walking, standing, sitting, and bending. Regular use of office equipment (computer, copier, phone, etc.). Occasional stretching, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
