SBBC is seeking passionate and motivated students for our 14-week, center-based clinical internship program. This opportunity is designed for students in ABA, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or Human Services who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Interns will work alongside our experienced team, contributing to a supportive and therapeutic environment while developing practical skills. We offer flexible scheduling to align with your academic requirements.


What You'll Do

As an ABA Therapy Intern, you will be an active member of our clinical team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Observing and assisting Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Behavior Technicians during ABA therapy sessions.
  • Supporting client data collection and assisting with the implementation of behavior strategies.
  • Engaging with clients through naturalistic teaching opportunities and participating in social skills groups.
  • Assisting with the preparation of therapy materials and learning about treatment plan development.
  • Participating in center-hosted caregiver and community engagement events.

While our program's primary focus is on clinical experience, SBBC also offers a limited number of non-clinical internships for students interested in the business side of healthcare. These opportunities are available in Human Resources, Operations Management, and Marketing, providing insight into the essential functions that support our clinical mission. Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a dedicated and professional individual who is eager to learn. We are looking for students who possess the following qualities:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program for ABA, Psychology, Social Work, Education, Human Services, or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for working with individuals with autism.
  • Dependable, professional, and enthusiastic about learning new skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
