: Summary: The Industry Engagement Assistant will work closely with the Industry Engagement (IE) team to communicate with employers, perform administrative tasks, and manage various aspects of the team’s marketing. This student will also serve as a liaison between their peers and the IE team to better meet students’ interests. Essential Functions: 1.) Industry/Employer Engagement Assist in outreach to external employers by drafting email templates and/or corresponding with employers regarding events, projects, etc.
Meet and greet employers and in-class project clients when they visit campus and assist them with their needs throughout their visit.
Post positions and external events to the Kogod Talent Network.
Use Zoom meeting transcripts to enter employer meeting data into 12Twenty (KTN).
On-Campus Employers:(1) Set up the “green room” for employers visiting campus.(2) Meet and greet employers when they arrive and guide them to various locations throughout the event.(3) Tend to any of the employer’s needs as they arise.(4) Manage gift procurement and distribution for IE’s guests.
Assist with project management for large IE events (Treks, Summits, Case Comp, Summer Showcase, etc.).
2.) Experiential Learning Manage a variety of tasks for in-class projects, such as:(1) Updating MOUs and NDAs.(2) Creating and monitoring feedback surveys. (3) Researching and reaching out to potential clients.
3.) Marketing Work with IE Team to rebuild and maintain employer-facing web pages.
Assist IE Team in writing the monthly industry engagement newsletter.
Correspond with the Assistant Director of Marketing in Career Engagement to ensure all of IE’s events are adequately/efficiently advertised to students.
Attend IE’s events (including some Treks) to gather photos and videos for social media content.
Promote IE events to peers by visiting classrooms, student clubs, etc.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-time.
Student.
10 hours per week.
Salary Range: $20 per hour.
Required Education and Experience: 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student or first-year graduate student.
Experience in marketing, web design, and graphic design.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong/Professional interpersonal skills for interacting with faculty, staff, and especially employers.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
