DESCRIPTION: TAS Aviation, the worlds leader in Twin Cessna services, is seeking an experienced and proactive Director of Human Resources to lead all aspects of the HR Department. This leadership role is responsible for developing and managing HR strategies, overseeing employee-related policies, and aligning HR functions with the overall business goals of TAS Aviation. The Director of HR plays a critical role in ensuring the company attracts, retains, and supports top talent, while maintaining compliance with all applicable workplace regulations.
Ideal candidates will have strong HR leadership experience, strategic vision, and a commitment to fostering a people-first, high-performance culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruitment & Hiring:
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent. Manage the full-cycle hiring process including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, offer negotiations, and pre-employment processes. - Onboarding & Orientation:
Coordinate and conduct comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees. Maintain onboarding documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. - Compensation & Benefits Management:
Assist in developing, maintaining, and communicating the organizations compensation structure and benefits programs. Support annual salary reviews, benefits enrollment, and respond to employee inquiries. - Personnel Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Provide guidance on employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. - Training & Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate internal or external training opportunities. Support leadership development and ongoing employee learning initiatives. - PTO & Leave Management:
Administer paid time off (PTO) requests, monitor leave balances, and ensure compliance with federal and state leave regulations such as FMLA or ADA. - PTO & Leave Management:
Promote a positive workplace culture by organizing employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building activities. - HR Compliance & Policy Administration:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws. Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures, and ensure all employees are informed and trained as necessary. - GOAL:
Ensure employee needs are met while advancing TAS Aviations strategic workforce goals, fostering a culture of compliance, engagement, and excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- 2+ years of HR experience with emphasis on recruitment and retention of employees required. 5 years preferred.
- Deep knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and workforce compliance.
- Proven ability to lead a team and align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools; experience with BambooHR strongly preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong background in recruiting/talent acquisition
Notes- Some travel and overnight trips will be required.
