The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Polk
The role you'll contribute: Responsible for ensuring effective spiritual care to patients, families, and team members. This position evaluates spiritual needs and provides one-to-one, short-term spiritual support within the facility. Additionally, this role offers brief spiritual counsel and community referrals following comprehensive assessments. In addition, this position schedules chaplain resources to ensure 24/7 care and collaborates with community clergy and Certified Educators. Additionally, this role fosters a mission-driven culture that promotes love, joy, and peace within the hospital.
The value you'll bring to the team:
Provides spiritual care for patients, families, and team members, addressing acute crises, end-of-life care, difficult diagnoses, and other significant events.
Responds to inpatient referrals within 24 hours and outpatient referrals within 48 hours, including evening and weekend chaplaincy care.
Coordinates appropriate spiritual support for patient care and collaborates with Mission and Ministry Campus Liaisons.
Leads Clinical Team Spiritual Formation and participates in Leadership Spiritual Formation.
Participates in Mission-Fit hiring assessments for campus leaders and New-Employee Orientation
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Master's [Required]
Successful completion of a minimum of 4 units of CPE from an ACPE, Inc. accredited Center (Level 1 and Level 2 engaged) [Required]
3 years of clinical chaplaincy experience [Required]
