Position Summary

Group exercise instructors will lead members through safe and effective fitness classes. This position is responsible for providing fitness instruction to members in various formats. Candidates must be able to instruct a range of fitness levels and ensure the safety of all members in the class. The instructor is responsible for enforcing all building policies on group exercise and being able to communicate why policies are in place. A group fitness instructor will act as a role model and resource for all members. Job Duties and Responsibilities Instruct your group exercise class safely and effectively. Display knowledge of safely using fitness equipment and performing exercises. Attend all mandatory meetings and semester trainings. Arrive to class 10-15 minutes early to prepare and set up. Communicate with the Assistant Director about cancelled or substituted classes. Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the room and equipment. Maintain proper certifications.
