Dean, Counseling and Student Development The North Orange County Community College District is seeking a Dean of Counseling and Student Development. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree and at least one year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience related to the assignment.
Responsibilities:
Administer and direct comprehensive campus counseling services.
Provide leadership in the administration, organization, and development of college counseling services and related student programs.
Manage the assessment, orientation, counseling, and follow-up components of the College's Matriculation Plan.
Facilitate the planning, development, and implementation of new programs and procedures to improve available counseling and other services for students.
Research, prepare, submit, and manage all budgets in the area of responsibility.
Administer and direct student discipline in collaboration with academic deans and Campus Safety.
Qualifications:
Possession of a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
At least one year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to the assignment.
Commitment to diversity and experience working with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.
