Current College Students - Weekday Afternoon Care for 3.5 yo

My partner and I are seeking childcare for the current school year for our 3.5 yo child (he/they). We live in Greenbelt and are looking for a caregiver to tend to him from 3-6pm on weekdays (Monday through Friday). Job responsibilities include offering him a snack (prepared by us) and engaging in playful activities until 6pm. Our child is chatty, adventurous and highly active; and we are seeking someone who can match their energy. We are also looking for a caregiver that is comfortable with daily outdoor play, weather permitting. Below is a description of additional preferred criteria: Enjoys children, Nurturing, Professional, Patient, Energetic and engaging in activities; Basic understanding of child development; Background in early childhood education a plus; College educated a plus; Has solid references; COVID vaccinated and boosted; Has their own transportation. We prioritize gentle and positive parenting techniques, fostering a respectful and supportive atmosphere where our child is encouraged to explore and grow at their own pace. Additionally, communication is a top priority for our family. We appreciate clear, open, and proactive communication, ensuring everyone is on the same page regarding schedules, expectations, and any evolving needs. The rate for the position is $23-27 per hour, commensurate with experience.
