Specific Responsibilities Assisting with the conducting of interviews and focus groups related to various community resilience topics, including
—Providing support to help plan the events
—Note-taking during the events
—Analysis of qualitative data
Collection and analysis of statistical data from various sources related to relevant community resilience topics
Collecting, summarizing, and synthesizing relevant peer-reviewed academic literature on the subject of community resilience
Assisting with the conduct of a tabletop simulation exercise focused on community resilience, including
—Providing support to help plan the events
—Note-taking during the events
—Analysis of qualitative data
Students will participate in one substantive service learning activity as part of their employment. These activities will need to be approved by faculty investigators.
Students will assist with the drafting of interim reports and a final report for the project.
Students will help to prepare presentations of the results and participate in those presentations.
Students will periodically write individual reports regarding the status of their work, as well as providing interim presentations summarizing their work. Students will complete periodic evaluations regarding their experience during the research process.
