About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice Provost and Executive Director for its International Student and Scholar Services. This senior leadership role is pivotal in providing vision, strategy, and operational oversight for the Bechtel International Center, which is the primary hub for supporting and engaging the international community. The successful candidate will be responsible for immigration compliance, direct operations, and advocating for the international community, shaping the institution's approach to global engagement. Key responsibilities include leading the Center with strategic vision, long-term planning, and ensuring adherence to complex immigration regulations. The role also involves advising senior leadership on immigration matters, managing a large team, and representing the institution in national and international forums.
Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience. Advanced communication, analytical, leadership, and strategic management skills are essential. A Master’s degree in a related field and experience in a higher education setting are preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration work, including experience with various visa processes and a thorough understanding of immigration policy. The role requires a leader who can mentor and coach staff, ensure strong succession planning, and build partnerships both within the institution and with external entities.
