Job Summary Provide executive level administrative services for the Dean of Students. Support the overall mission of the Division of Student Life. Serve as the central administrative support contact for the Division.
Responsibilities Coordinate scheduling for VP with senior level campus administration, external stakeholders and other executives; maintain calendar.
Advise students on the proper documentation needed for specific requests regarding class absences and emergencies that prevent them from attending class.
Coordinate travel arrangements including processing of travel authorizations.
Interview, hire, train, evaluate and supervise student assistants.
Maintain, update and monitor departmental files, databases, records and resource information.
Communicate on behalf of the VP's office to faculty, staff, students, and families.
Communicate and interpret administrative policies; develop internal office related procedures as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four to five years of job related experience.
Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in Higher Education.
5+ years of experience supporting Senior/Executive Leader.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities This job requires an extensive knowledge of Institute policies and program administration. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Banner. Must possess a strong attention to detail, strong verbal and written communications skills. Must be organized and enjoy working with students.
