This position plays a supportive role on the SMC Experience team and reports directly to the Director of Student Engagement. The Assistant Director is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive campus recreation program, in coordination with the Director. The Assistant Director also supports the general work of the Office of Involvement, including student activities, campus traditions, and clubs and orgs. This role requires energy, attention to detail, and strong follow-through in assisting with events and activities that foster student involvement, leadership, and belonging. A significant portion of this role supports the oversight of campus recreation, including intramural sports and the fitness center, in a way that promotes wellness, participation, and community.
