Overview Student Worker, TV Production Studio Assistant -- Work Study and Campus Employment - McDaniel College To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be a current student enrolled at McDaniel College. This position is open to both work study and campus employment students. Revision Dates: 8/2023 Reports to: Jonathan Slade / Caroline Cross Department: Communication and Cinema Salary Grade: Maryland minimum wage FSLA Status: Non-exempt Location of Position: Lewis Recitation Hall, Room 332, McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, MD 21157 Duration of Appointment: 8/6/2025-5/20/2026 Schedule: Schedule is at discretion of supervisor Evaluation Procedures: Student workers are evaluated on a continuing basis Responsibilities Scope: Provide tutoring services to assigned students Provide tutoring services to students completing coursework involving video production with academic projects one-on-one or in a group setting Qualifications Achieved a grade of "B" or better in CIN 2201 Television Production, or its equivalent Ability to operate, teach, and troubleshoot studio and EFP cameras, video switcher, audio mixer, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere editing software, studio lights, microphones, teleprompter, and master control broadcaster Available to work independently with other undergraduates -- both in and outside the regularly scheduled class time Ability to assist students with copy editing, story structure, and polishing scripts Preferred: Achieved a grade of "B" or better in CIN 2301 Basic Video Editing Physical Characteristics Must have the finger dexterity needed to operate studio and EFP cameras, video switcher, audio mixer and other related equipment Additional Information McDaniel College, in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, does not discriminate in recruitment, admission, and employment of students, faculty, and staff in the operation of any of its educational programs and activities.
