Work Schedule: Will vary on event schedules. Events could last anywhere between 3-8 hours.

Desired Length of Employment: 1-day event on November 8th

Available shifts (can work more than 1 shift):

2:00pm-5:00pm (Set up and first shift)

4:00pm-8:00pm (Main event stations and event break down)

7:00pm-10:00pm (End of event/clean up)

Pay Rate: $13

Job Description:

Join our "Thank You Crew" as we gear up to serve over 4,500 Baylor Faculty, Staff and their families at our annual Appreciation Night. We need your help with greeting families, running fun activities, and assisting with miscellaneous event needs. You will receive a t-shirt, a free meal from local food trucks, and you can stay to watch a movie on the field at McLane!

As an Event Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the execution of our exciting events. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about the event industry and thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. We strive to provide a caring and meaningful employee experience to Baylor employees through our Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night event!

We are looking for student to help staff events on the following dates:

11/8/24 shifts available below:

2:00pm-5:00pm (Set up and first shift)

4:00pm-8:00pm (Main event stations and event break down)

7:00pm-10:00pm (End of event/clean up)

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing on-site support during events, including set-up, clean-up, registration, and attendee assistance.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and helping with events as needed
  • Deliver excellent customer services to clients and visitors
  • Provide information and answer inquiries as needed
  • Assist with various activities and tasks related to events and hospitality services
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Skills required:

  • Willingness to Help Others and have a Smiling Face
  • Physical effort with some handling of light weight such as supplies or materials (0 to 15 lbs)
  • Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time
