Position Duties/Responsibilities Assists in daily operations of the Office of the Registrar. Reviews, responds to, processes, and reroutes submissions sent to Registrar's Office email to appropriate parties. Process grade changes in Ellucian Banner ensuring accuracy of data entered. Process curriculum changes in Ellucian Banner ensuring accuracy of data entered. Process student applications for degrees in Ellucian Banner ensuring accuracy of data entered. Reconcile degree candidate information with academic departments and degree candidates to ensure accuracy. Updates student records within Ellucian Banner including but not limited to FERPA, name changes, student information changes, inactive students, and student types. Works with technical staff to resolve problems as they arise. Represent McNeese positively, promote a customer-service attitude, and work cooperatively with other University departments to recruit and retain students. Consistently monitors and revises work procedures to improve operations and recommends policy changes to administrators. Maintains an up-to-date procedure manual for processes pertaining to the student records process both within and outside of the office. Completes other duties as assigned by the Registrar or Executive Director of Enrollment Management. Required/Preferred Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university. Self-starter with the ability to exercise initiative, independence, and maturity as well as function with limited supervisory intervention. Attentiveness to detail and ability to work independently. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to generate clear, concise, and grammatically correct business correspondence and other documents. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple requests and handle them in an efficient and timely manner. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Commitment to customer service and teamwork. Ability to thoroughly understand, communicate, and abide by federal and university guidelines regarding student record confidentiality requirements. Proficiency in the use of computers; knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; and ability to search and obtain information from the internet. Preferred: Experience with Ellucian Banner. Experience in professional office. Experience with Microsoft Outlook. Experience with Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of collegiate educational systems.
